Research Interest Summary

Acid mine drainage, water quality, macroinvertebrates identification

Research Interests

My research focuses on acid mine drainage in the Montour Run Watershed in Allegheny County, PA. I am interested to see the effect of untreated acid mine drainage on stream chemistry and macroinvertebrate colonies. With a combination of both field and lab tests to determine the concentration of metals, pH, macroinvertebrate colonies, etc., we will be able to see overall stream health and water quality.
