Research Interests

My research focuses on the design of engineered nanomaterials as next-generation antimicrobial agents aimed at combating antimicrobial resistance. I apply both traditional microbiological methods and advanced molecular techniques to uncover underlying mechanisms of bacterial inactivation and resistance as well as the evolution of these mechanisms with changes in nanomaterial physicochemical properties (i.e., size, shape, surface chemistry).
