Research Interests

My research utilizes remote sensing to understand hydrologic processes. Currently, I am working on a remote sensing algorithm using Landsat data to detect algal blooms in the Ohio River Basin, and I have previously used Sentinel-1 SAR to study the impacts of land subsidence on water resources in the Limpopo River Basin, Mozambique. As a former middle and high school science teacher, I am also interested in science communication and public outreach.
