Research Interests

An artist inspired by place and context, I respond by creating tools and gestures for contemplation, urgency, and repair. Recent works investigate economy and extraction through a modern ruin, the stratification and compaction of waste, the forces of erosion entwining memory with a national landmark, and perceptual experiments exploring the belief in what we see. A fall 2022 participant in the Arctic Circle Residency, an art and science expedition in the high-Arctic Svalbard Archipelago, I am currently investigating glaciers and ice for future works.
